This is almost as deadly as the Star War-Star Trek riots of 2002.

Reminds me of back in the 1990’s when an enthusiatic Military Police lieutenant (and former peer of mine) was working as the Military Police Duty Officer at Ft. Hood and called out the installation Special Response Team (SRT) on a gathering of the Society for Creative Anachronism.

Why, oh WHY do I keep picturing a whole passel of Pee Wee Herman and Steve Urkel looka-alikes in helicopter beanies, tin foil, and Klingon costumes bitch-slapping each other in the street and shouting “I know you are but what am I?” over and over???
“Nerd Riot”...I’m dyin’ over here....

Why would Star Wars fans (which I am) hate Shatner? It might've been the YouTube sparring between Bill and Carrie Fisher (back in 2011, I think). Pretty funny videos, actually. The condensed version: Shatner opined that SW was mostly a kiddie show, while ST was more adult sci-fi. Bill also mentioned that the Trek women were better-looking.

Yeah.....but remember, he “did” the green broad in that one episode, so his eye for beauty might be a tad off...

Were they medieval sword fighters like the Southern Calif. group?

...ok. So less 'beautiful' and more "Awesome Character."

Last time I saw anyone chasing a green broad, it was on “The Walking Dead”...
And she was several shades of green...and purple...and black....and blue...

‘Nerd Riot’ would be a great name for a band. I bet it already is.

Watched an episode or 2 of doctor who years ago. Never liked it. (The one withe the scarf)
Loved Star Wars 4,5,6. But did not care for 1,2,3 too much.
So any fight where nerds slap fight like girls against each other will have to do it without me.
I will however square off with clenched fists against those who wish to denigrate Star TREK and Captain Kirk. ; )~ and when I do I will have background music from the gamesters of triskellion. And you can bet dollars to quatloos I will win.

Now I have to write the words to “Sci-Fi Riot”, to the tune of Cherry Poppin’ Daddies’ “Zoot Suit Riot”.
