Homosexual sex is death to many. And, in the early days of HIV, their blood killed many regular folks. During that time when it was still a problem, I had a required hysterectomy and the doctor said he would not give me blood unless I was about to die. After the surgery, he said I lost more blood than I should have and it would take me some time to rebuild my blood but he didn't care - he would not give me blood.
