Russell Johnson. Sad story, really, because he was a genuine war hero who was a friend of Audie Murphy. I have a lot of respect for the guy. One of his kids died of AIDS.
That explains SO much. I read his biography and while he comes across as a "nice guy", he had nothing but venom for Ronald Reagan who he worked with in the '50s. He said it was because of Reagan's anti-communist views, but now that you told me about his gay son, it all makes sense.
He's a typical lefty, lashing out at, and blaming everyone but his own son's behavior for contracting HIV.
