There are days I might weep for all weve lost.
Yup, it is discouraging. Here's an example that I just saw as I went to get gas and a few groceries - cars lined up at the bus stop in my neighborhood. Parents actually DRIVE to the bus stop to get their kindergarteners. Not only are the kids not allowed to walk home like we used to - but the parents are too lazy to walk to the bus stop. How will kids ever learn to not be lazy with such role models? And it's a beautiful day - 75 and clear blue skies. Yet- they'll pay for a child to be involved in some activities that provide exercize. That leads to another issue - all the rushing to and fro with these younguns, never letting them use their imagination and of course, lots of competing with the Jones'.
