Westboro member Margie Phelps later told The Tennessean, "I'm not sure it's fully decided at this moment." She says the group is also considering protests at NBA playoff games in Oklahoma City and Chicago in response to NBA player Jason Collins' recent announcement that he's gay. Phelps says chances of picketing Thursday in Nashville were "about 80/20 likely."
The Westboro Baptist Church has announced it plans to picket the funeral of country star George Jones, set to be held Thursday morning at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Yeah, I see the connection there: 81-year-old country singer’s funeral is a great locale to protest against the directly-related coming out of a 34 year old basketball player. Because who can fail to see how those aren’t related?

WBC the liberal hate group, announces that it will be everywhere that it thinks can get it some press coverage. They only show up at a few places. Usually 3-4 women a a child or 2 so that people will be less likely to kick their asses...

Yes, you are correct. They do look for high profile funerals. Your grandma dying of old age is not good enough for them. One thing I did not realize until I read a book by a former member of the church is that this group preaches that they are the “one true church”. So, they teach that no one outside of this group is going to Heaven. Everyone except them is going to Hell. Thus, they protest not only the funerals of our soldiers, victims of shootings, and any other high profile figures, but they have a schedule for protesting at all the other churches in the surrounding area. So those libs who want to identify this group with other Christian churches, the truth is that WBC hates us as well.

I can tell you why. If you’ve ever watched documentaries on them and preaching in their churches it is actually Baptist. Trust me I have known Baptist like that—in a church. Only difference is that they did not go out and hold up sings that said “God hates fags” at funerals or where ever.
Good news. This could be the death wish we’ve all been waiting for. Can you imagine how many real baptists with a fondness for the second amendment will be there?
