He would have been a lot better off just trying to shoot it with the airgun. I have a model 760 and despite having a smooth bore it shoots pellets fairly well.
My first 760 bought around 35 years ago had a rifled barrel.

That is what tweezers are for. I learned this hitting a black poweder percussion cap with a hammer as a kid. Put a nice chunk of copper in my shin. I was far more afraid of Mom than the hole in my leg.

Lloyd told police he knew he was not allowed to possess ammunition and that he found cartridges while “scrapping” -- looking for scrap metal. For the a non-construction oriented person, "scrapping" means stealing copper from construction sites.

I am a native Floridian. My family has been here since at least the 1700s. Florida North of Orlando is very conservative and the Western Panhandle has been described as the most conservative Congressional District in the nation.
