You all remember Ira Einhorn is the co-founder of Earth Day?
He was the one that offed is girl-friend and kept her body in a trunk for a year and fled to France. He was eventually extradited back to the U.S. and now serving a life term for murder.
Self-proclaimed co-founder, who seems to really have had nothing to do with it. The big names who actually made it more or less official were Gaylord Nelson (D-WI, who picked the hundredth anniversary of Lenins birth as the first Earth Day) and U Thant (third UN secretary general) who along with UNESCO (yeah, them) wanted it to be observed on or near the northern hemispheres spring equinox.
As for Einhorn himself, he seems troubled by demons. Look at his eyes in this set of photos . . .
