The whole problem with this “right to die” physician-assisted suicide mess is that it’s not about your right to die. No one can force you to live. What our society is discussing here is a right to force a medical professional to kill you.

That’s not a right.

With PP/Gosnellcare it’s not even the infirm.

With end of life, even to turn off the agony of cancer, it’s not only forcing a Doctor to kill someone, it’s making everybody else pay for it through Govt. Healthcare/Deathcare programs.

Just like gun control, it’s not about guns, it’s about control.

Actually, most people don’t really have a problem with the idea that, if they really wanted to die, they might be able to get help.

What most people are scared about is that, once it is legal for a doctor or nurse to “help you die”, that the doctors and nurses will start killing you because your life isn’t worthwhile, and will then SAY you wanted to die.

By making suicide illegal, it prevents doctors from being able to kill you and get away with it.

In practice, if a spouse kills their partner, and it looks like that was the desire of the partner, “the law” tends to look the other way, or administer minor punishment.
