You're more hopeful then I though...
I'm both more and less hopeful, caww. I'm hopeful we'll restore our constitutional republic; I have no hope whatever, however, we'll be able to avoid a monumental "progressive" national disaster between now and the restoration.
"Progressives" are looters, rapists, arsonists, extortionists, armed robbers, and everything else destructive. I believe they've succeeded in eviscerating our constitutional republic from within in all but name. Their hatred of America, which I'll probably never understand, has driven them to accomplish a truly enormos destructive taskbut what then? They're not inventors or creators or builders or managers. If they were, they'd be capitalists.
I believe it's naught short of inevitable they'll try to cobble together a socialist or communist or neo-fascist or crony capitalist regime, and fail abjectly. They're not going to be able to reduce enough of us to serfdom to make a go of it. They've reduced millions of us from citizen to serfdom through so-called "welfare" and "entitlements," but those weren't the best and brightest to begin with, and their very dependence will necessarily pose a huge problem for the oligarchy: they'll still need to be maintained in the style they've become accustomed to, or they'll riot, set fires, go on murder sprees, et cetera. The product is never better than the materials it's made of.
Whether we go Galt or revolt, the rest of us aren't going to degenerate into subservient half-starved North Koreans, and we happen to be the people who produce the wealth the "progressives" have been looting all this time. One way or a dozen others, the oligarchy is going to create and unleash a national disaster it won't be able to control or alleviate.
I can't imagine we'll have an opportunity to restore our constitutional republic before the "progressives" or "liberals" fail: in the first place, far too few of us believe disaster is even possible, and in the second, far too few of us have the foresight or courage to advocate secession before a disaster.
Nil desperandum, Never Despair. That is a motto for you and me. All are not dead; and where there is a spark of patriotic fire, we will rekindle it.
