I am an individual, I am a free person, I have the right to spend the fruits of my labor how I see fit!
Some call it Capitalism, Some call it the Free Market.....
I call it: The Freedom of Economic Choice
For far too long we have allowed the other side to steal a word that means both responsibility and freedom, that word is choice.
The other side has blasphemed the word choice andd bastardized it to the point of it becoming a pale shadow of it's former self. They have mutilated it to be only half itself if even that. Choice in their world has become the freedom to behave without having to account to any consequences of the actions they wish to take, or even worse move those consequences upon the shoulders of others to bear. Others who had no part in making those choices. Choice in their hands has become a feeble shadow, an excuse to thow caution to the wind for pleasurable outcomes while ignoring the harsh reality of living. No wonder those who use that definition of choice are shallow people who have atrophied souls.
I say we retake the language. We know whatit truly means.
I practice freedom of choice of my means of self protection.
I practice freedom of choice of what I buy to eat.
I practice freedom of choice to where I send my children to school.
I practice freedom of choice to earn my living and spend my money I make doing so.
I may get fat, I may shoot myself in the foot, My children may be dumber than a brick, I may die poor in the streets freezing to death....
But I am FREE, because I chose to be so!
I’m guessing you ain’t married or in a committed relationship....
Ah, but binding your worldly goods to the caprice of another human being is itself an act of Free Will.
We are free to bind ourselves in love, and take the consequences.
No keeedin...
