I read that “The Ten Commandments” has been a perennial favorite for ABC since 1973. The one Easter they didn’t air it caused a lot of negative public feedback, hence they continue that tradition(I watched a lot of it last night myself).
“The Robe” will also air on TCM tonight at 8PM Eastern.

Both films are great entertainments made in the era when the general American consensus was to be Christian, patriotic, pro-life and pro-natural family.
The Robe unlike The Ten Commandments has a decidedly Christian theme and may be why the PC controllers at the networks are wary of screening The Robe.
8 p.m. Eastern Time for TCM The Robe unfortunately clashes with Pope Francis’ Easter Mass televised by EWTN at 7 p.m. EST
A lot of stations also used to air “Ben Hur” (the 1958 version) with Heston.
Amazingly, they are not showing it anywhere this year.
It is available on DVD.

Since 1964 (LBJ reign) the country has admitted so many whose only reason for entering was to get away from their hellholes without any intention to assimilate to the customs of their host and with nothing to donate but the very misery they fled from.
Talking about the balkanization of the US — hell, the Balkans have a more homogeneous society than the US has.
