So based on the current population roughly 1 in 4 has at least one STD?

And obviously the bulk of those are under 40?

So common sense would put the numbers at what... 50/50 that anyone of breeding age you meet has an STD?

If that is anywhere close to true... ? ... ? ... ? What can you say and where do you even begin to have a discussion about the obvious ramifications of this? ... ? Kind of at a loss here.

Unless these numbers are pure crap.

It’s what you get with fornication.

When you have sexual intercourse on average with about 50-100 people and that sexual activity includes oral/anal; penis/anal; and genital/genital sex, you are likely to get diseases. And when you consider that every other person you’re having sex with has also had sex with about the same number of people, then you’re effectively having sex with thousands and thousands of germs and viruses.

Funny thing about all this: every time you have sex with another person, you assume you’re the ONE AND ONLY. What crap.

Could these data point to the causation of complete idiocy coming out of Washington,DC due to the massive number of latent tertiary syphllis cases residing in that city? I’m beginning to think think that our elected officials are not the “best and brightest”.

Given recent events, I’d go out on a limb and say with a degree of certainty that the idiocy is worldwide

What I find interesting is the article refers to STI’s not STD’s. If they are refering to sexually transmitted infections that would include Vaginal and Urinary Yeast infections which is quite common.

But there are also lies, damned lies and then there are statistics

Are they counting yeast infections and anything else that could be transmitted sexually?

McKinsey got his data by interviewing sex offenders. Wouldn’t surprise me if this data came from an equally flawed sample.

So a third of us have STD’s? That’s hard to believe unless they count things like catching a cold from ones spouse.

Based on a study data that is 5 years old. Really 110 million Americans have STD. Do you think we are that stupid? Wait a minute there are that many stupid people in America.

Honestly the story is BS. Also other type of animals that defecate, why discriminate against animals that relieve themselves!

20 million NEW cases...Does that mean that the other 90 million are incurable, lifetime diseases?

Studies like this constitute a crisis, for the low information voter, who will demand to know what the gov’t is going to do about it.

Let your imagination run wild as to what legislation would be presented as to how the gov’t will deal with it.

You could bet on how much money the gov’t “invested” in this study, so as to get the desired result.

The US population was 316,668,567 (July 2013 est.), over 110,000,000 cases works out to be about one in three Americans with an STD.
Not even.
