Our next door neighbor lost their kids pet to this. Other neighbors saw a van parked in the road in front of their house and someone pulling their dog into the van. Beautiful dog too. Friendly. Would come sit with me while I gardened.
Poor dog.
Hopefully the neighbors at least did more than relay the bad news (say, getting a description of the van and license plate, per minimum).
