What’s the “Strip District” ?

It has nothing to do with strippers. It’s a district that is primarily occupied by produce stores.

I think that's like the term 'Strip Mall', except it's downtown.

"What’s the “Strip District” ?

If you saw the Jack Reacher movie, the scene where Tom Cruise beats up the five guys single handedly. That was filmed in the strip district. The funny part is the bar where the scene starts is a famous bar in the southside of Pittsburgh. Then they step "outside" to fight and its on the other side of town in the strip district....
