Btw, I just wanted to mention that even though I believe the two were innocent of murder and just ignorant potheads, your theory that they tried to cover tracks for Guede does seem very plausible. It would be totally within the confines of probable cause to go ahead and charge them with that. But to my knowledge, I dont think the prosecution is concerned with that.
I agree. They seem focused on the lurid details, and on trying to get two supposed accomplices to serve 60% more time than the actual killer.
