I’m seeing fewer and fewer apologists as people wake up.
Absolutely. 10 years ago, this thread would have had a completely different character.
Any updates to this story?

Not even that — I think even 5 years ago it would have a different character... In fact, it’s rather surprising how quickly things have turned around on the “assume cops are the good-guys” default-mentality.
“Im seeing fewer and fewer apologists as people wake up.”
I think the change really took place after the Newtown shooting and the leftists seizing on that crisis to push their fascist authoritarian fantasies.
While I admire and support our local cops here in Wyoming I have nothing but contempt for the thugs that seem to populate every police agency in every large city.
When we lived in California we were just fine in Placer County but when you went into Sacramento County you just could not depend on their sheriff or police departments. One of my friends in high school was getting beaten up by sheriffs deputies in Elk Grove and would’ve gotten beat even worse had it not been for California Highway Patrol officers who came along, stopped the beating, took him to a hospital, and then told him to get home to Yolo County.
There are some agencies that are just rotten to the core and they’re not at all law enforcement, they’re just thugs with badges. Hate to say, but when I see police in some cities (like New York) getting shot ‘in the line of duty’ I sometimes stop and wonder if they had it coming?
