I understand. I still do standing ovations and go get a beer out of the fridge when something on the sunshelf finally peeks out from beneath the dirt.

Which can be a little awkward at 5:30 in the morning when I do my morning checks and watering. But what the heck, a plant is a plant, and it deserves a celebration. ;)

Definitely worth celebrating. Iirc, you have catz. I gather that your sunshelf isn’t in the house? If it is, how do you keep the catz from trashing the plants? We finally planted oat grass in six different pots so we could rotate them into and out of the greenhouse for recovery between cat attacks.
