This is the kind of life that probably exists on Mars.
If I am interpreting this accurately, this could provide one of the long-sought mechanisms for how oil and gas is created in the Earth, and not only from ancient plant and animal leavings. Groundbreaking, and it could result in many more opportunities for energy exploration and production.
