In the relating of this account, the car is usually a fine Cadillac.
It wasn't a caddy, not too many deer hunters go "stump jumping" in a Cadillac. It was a relatively new car in otherwise good condition. I don't recall the make, pretty sure it wasn't a Chevy, might have been a Pontiac.
Myth Busters did an episode on this sort of thing where they sealed a couple of pig carcasses in a brand new Corvette and then rolled the sealed car into an ISO shipping container and closed the doors tight. They left it to bask in the sun for some months. When they opened it up the Corvette was a major barf inducing wreck. The carcasses liquefied and soaked into every nook and cranny. MB turned the car over to a detailing shop who thought they might be able to salvage the car, I don't recall they had much success.

PS I did have a chance to buy a cherry 1955 Packard Clipper Custom Constellation for $50.00, which I had to turn down as I was making $0.75/hr.
