I got 100 bucks. Was a check for a computer rebate that got lost when I moved.
I just checked and found money for my father just now- neat search engine.
I’ve checked my state site in the past and received money they had from HP + interest!
Sigh.
Thanks.
I have some owed money.
Will research and let you know if I do get it.
I checked my own state’s site a few weeks ago. I got $126 back for an iundelivered Christmas order from two years ago. It took about a week from an easy cellphone claims process. Hadn’t thought about looking in other states.
I actually found $140 the state of CA “is holding for” me for a money order I bought to buy something or other but which was ultimately returned. This was from about 7 years ago. (It was on a different site than what linked by the OP) I looked at the requirements to get that money back and it’s not a walk in the park. I would frankly prefer to surrender it to the state and have them credit it to my personal income taxes. I’ll betcha they can’t/won’t do that.
California site. The advantage here is that you’re not giving personal info to a third party.

I got a few hundred bucks back from California a few years ago. Looked on their site, saw I had the money there (was leftover interest from some escrow account from when I had sold a property). Sent in the forms (a couple times) and made some calls, and eventually got the money.
That’s pretty cool, I found where my son has over 100 dollars, I just sent him an email.

California has its own search site for unclaimed funds. I believe it’s under the state treasurer’s page.
Ever received a letter from a lawyer offering to assist you in getting missing money? For a fee?
I found some equity fund shares that my dad left behind when he passed in 1969. It should be at least $1400 for my sister and me.
Says I have $5M left to me by a Nigerian prince. I just have to send them my bank account info and they’ll do a direct deposit!
Do a search, I found three hits. One over $1900.00!
That was neat - that you actually found something! I searched on one a few years ago just for the heck of it.
I got a check from State of Utah today.
Thanks!
