I notice that the only reason that he sites this story is because the protector is a trained police officer and it fits his narrative.

Only train professionals should be permitted to carry firearms.

The peons must not be permitted arms because they can not be trusted.

Okay, if they want to play that game. I was trained by Uncle Sam many years ago and I have, in turn, trained my wife and daughter.

Ha, that half-truth (at best) might have been plausible to some a month ago, but the LAPD's performance during the Dorner episode tells the tale.
