I was on a plane for the left coast while the Oscars were on, and by the time I got to my hotel, the broadcast was over (thank goodness). But from what I hear, Seth McFarlane will go down as the worst Oscars host in history, even below David Letterman’s disastrous appearance a few years back.

What I find hilarious is that Hollywood will immediately start pointing fingers and back-stabbing each other over the Oscars debacle, as only they can. Heheheh...couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch.

Here’s what I would really like to see: every year, Drudge and others post the overnight Nielsen ratings in the largest metered markets like NY, Chicago and LA. But there are now 56 metered markets across the country that report audience data the next day. It would be very interesting to see how the numbers tail off as you move into the smaller markets. Beyond LA and NY, interest in the Academy Awards is middling, at best.

Huge LIKE for your post! I did not watch the Oscars. Rented Atlas Shrugged 2 instead and then watched some made for TV mysteries.

I really could care less about the stars, starlets. fashion, gossip and other fussy intrigue to do with Oscars. Hugely overrated egos and talents. With so much to choose from for entertainment, one would definitely not want to watch the narcissism of the Hollywood elite.
