Vanity! Any recommendations on electronic earmuffs?

For years I have used a plain Jane set of earmuffs when target shooting, but it's time to step up to the newfangled electronic type. 60 year old ears deserve some pampering. That said, I was hoping that you good folks had some advice, recommendations, or warnings. You guys are the best at this sort of thing.

I bought my fiancee’ a pair of Caldwell electronic muffs and he loves them. I got them for about $25 on Sportsmans Guide.

+1 on the Howard Leight’s. I’ve been using them for the past few years on the firing line at Appleseed shoots. They offer very good protection at a good price, even when you’re next to shooters with centerfire rifles (.223 & .308).

Why yes, now the picture applies and is an integral part of the thread encompassing both the vanity and earmuffs portions, :)

I have owned Pelters, Remingtons, and have a set of Walker’s Alphas right now. They kept on getting better and better.

I like my Walkers I think they were right around 40 bucks from the sportsmans guide.

I love then when instructing, and as a OIC and RSO one can hear whats going on a long ways away.

I remember the frist ones called wolf ears big heavey batterys didn’t last long but they beat plain muffs.

I got mine from Sportsmans Guide. I'd have to go down in the basement to look up the brand. They work fine, and I use them regularly. I fire .45, 9mm, .223, .308, and of course .22.
