Good point. Its not a problem until it leaks regularly into the neighborhoods of the our Betters. Until then these sorts of stories will be nothing more than bylines. However, as you pointed out (correctly) that its only a matter of time until it gets there.
I am very familiar with a small town in Michigan between Toledo and Detroit. Ten years ago this was Anytown, USA. Nothing ever happened here. It wasn't particularly rich, just middle class and comfortable.
You can see the decline in the last decade. Section 8 housing seems to be the way it is spread into these areas.
It is seriously time to head for the hills.
