Since you are bringing politics into it, Penn Staters are like liberals who refuse to acknowledge any mistakes Obama is making, and declaring him the best president ever.

Huh? A simpleminded analogy that makes no sense...good work by you.

For the record, I've condemned those clearly involved and am still waiting for the facts when I'm not sure. Should Paterno have done more? By his own admission, yes. Did he actively cover-up Sandusky's crimes? I'm still waiting on the evidence to make up my mind. I've spoken with a lot of alums and that's a pretty representative opinion.

Of course, since you prefer to paint with the broad brush you wouldn't actually know what Penn Staters think, would you? Acknowledging that this is a complicated issue that doesn't lend itself to packaged sound bytes would undermine your apparent desperate need to feel morally superior.

If you truly are holding out judgement on Paterno, then you are one of the few Penn Staters who I’ve talked to, who are.

Most are like the one above claiming it was “illegal for JoePa to know about 1998” Like that is some kind of proof. Most grasp for anything and everything as an excuse. I’m sure they are salivating over this report as a justification for their beliefs. Are you?
