fanfan, I saw your pics on another thread of your wintersown containers. Can you tell me more about that experience. Is this the first year you have tried wintersowing?

They have a section of their forum devoted to this method. I never would have thought of it, except that you posted a link to the idea a few weeks back, and I googled it some more. Thanks! If it works at all, I'm going to love it, and if it works the way they say, I'll be ecstatic!
They claim they have no damping off problems, no lamps and systems to buy, no higher electricity bills to pay.
I have only started one container, and I forgot to poke drainage holes in the bottom, duh. I'll try to remember to get a picture of it tomorrow.
