I’ve also never heard of a 700’s bolt stuttering. My 700VTR doesn’t stutter, chatter or do anything like that. The bolt moves smoothly on it. Not quite like oil on glass, but not like dragging a stick through sand either.
I have the 770 and it was supposedly and improvement over the 700. It ain’t but the fancy scope works great.
