You just can’t make this stuff up. Not if your head is on straight.

For a moment the PETA protest reminded me of those prim Victorian times when proper people never said words like leg, breast or thigh in mixed company. Instead they asked,

“Would you like a drumstick?”

“Do you prefer white meat or dark meat?”

(This is making me hungry)

We can also thank the Victorians for the word “dressing” as it relates to bread and other food items packed into the cavity of a bird.

Because there is no rude connotation to the phrase “get dressed”. :)
