Then I'd say that Paterno's objections weren't forceful enough, wouldn't you?

Oh Please!!! It says that his influence in things other than the football program was limited -- even and especially regarding a retirement agreement between a tenured professor and the Board of Trustees.

If Paterno was so all powerful at PSU then how come they granted terms of this agreement over his wishes -- no matter how they were expressed???

There are no excuses for the reprehensible conduct of the most powerful people at PSU. Why do you defend them?
