The halftime Superbowl shows are a reflection of American society. I tuned out the Superbowl years ago, but can’t do that with the rest of society.

I don’t watch TV at all, except for an occasional movie on DVD. With a few exceptions, such as the 9/11 reports, I haven’t watched it for about 20 years, I think.
Back in Connecticut about 20 years ago we used to go to a neighbor’s for the annual superbowl party. I didn’t care that much about the game, but we went for the food and company.
Anyway, they certainly won’t clean up TV or make it more intelligent unless they think the ratings point that way. Maybe not even then.
