When a person makes a public statement while representing the company they work for, the company is free is issue consequences.


Not if the consequences violate his constitutional rights to freedom of religion and association.

To clarify, Ford would have the right to discipline a Ford employee who said in a public radio interview at a car show that Chevy products are superior. Same follows here.
