I don’t think they particularly care about that. Anonymous is a radical leftist group, so having a stealth Muslim Marxist take over the US certainly isn’t going to bother them.

They have written the usual long screed that these groups write. Apparently they’re upset about Aaron Swarz, the hacker who killed himself a couple of weeks ago rather than face prosecution for downloading JSTOR files. I agree that the law is rather draconian and is written solely to protect copyright holders, not necessarily the authors or producers of the work, but the people who bought up the copyrights.

JSTOR is a particular fraud that doesn’t deserve anything; they charge $25 to take a peek at things from academic journals, peoples’ dissertations, etc. In other words, things for which the producer received little or no compensation, but which they are exploiting ridiculously.

JSTOR is “free” to registered users of academic libraries, in that they don’t pay for each article; but they do pay through their fees, which range into the hundreds of dollars.

However, this attack on the US Supreme Court makes no sense and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s actually being motivated by Obama or his minions, since Friday’s court decision finding his recess appointments unconstitutional will surely be appealed to the Supreme Court and Obama wants to make sure he has complete power over the Court.

That's what I thought, but I was afraid it might sound too "conspiracy theorist". Someone upthread said something about freepers praising these nuts, and I was agreeing by making the point that if they were pure disinterested truth-exposers, they'd have dug up info on Hussein in all this time. They really remind me of some of the scary groups from the 60s, and I won't be surprised if their "hactivism" tips over into violent acts, for which they will find some way to blame the right.

thanks for connecting the dots....I, too, would not be surprised.
