I will see “Parker” this weekend and will post a review.

When I saw the trailer on TV, my first thought was that this was a remake of "Payback" with Mel Gibson and Mariaa Bello. It was a good, fun, "rootin' for the bad-guy" sort of movie," movie... Gibson's character, "Porter," was a serious bad guy, but he had been done wrong by other "bad guys," and just wanted to set things right. Of course, that took a lot of killing...

I'd like to hear how "Parker" is, and if you haven't seen it, afterwards be sure to check out "Payback."

It is from the same series written by Richard Stark.

“a remake of “Payback””

I haven’t seen the previews for this new film, but I thought you might like to know that Payback was itself a remake of Point Blank, so the new film could be based on that one instead.

No surprise. Porter and Parker are the same character - they're both adapted from two different Donald Westlake novels.
