Why would you need to know “what heals”? If you get sick, isn’t that just God acting? If God won’t heal you, why would you presume that you should learn and do anything on your own to circumvent His will?

Where do you draw the line between accepting the way God has made us, and trying to improve upon your lot in life by eating right, or exercising, or treating wounds?

I wouldn’t be so strident in my response, except that you started by suggesting that genetically modified foods were somehow in opposition to God.

SO I’m wondering what exactly you think we are allowed to do ourselves, in what ways are we allowed to use the intelligence God has given us?

In my opinion, when God told us to have dominion over things, that included DNA. We are to be responsible, but I don’t see the very nature of genetic manipulation to be in opposition to God’s will, much less an attempt to do “better” than God, any more than wearing a knee brace or putting pressure on a wound would be an attempt to “do better” than what God created.

We ARE God’s creation, and what we do can be part of God’s will, as he gave us the ability to do these things.

God makes no one sick.

Sickness is a curse from your own actions, or from recent ancestors actions. That is what the word of God plainly says.

What heals, unconditionally, is righteousness through confession, repentance, and rejection of the sin that lives within you. It’s a daily thing, since we sin constantly, and live with the consequences thereof.

What does “the way God made us” have to do with it? Are you referring to our free will to sin?

Eating right will certainly maintain your strength, but eating unnatural franken food will certainly undo the good of that.

How could tampering with God’s genetic protections of his creations not be contrary to his will? Wearing a brace tampers with nothing, and putting pressure on a wound is instinctive behavior.

If we “use the intelligence God has given us” we recognize that we are incapable of delving the repercussions of tampering with a protective system that is clearly not yet understood (that was the original theme of this thread).
