I've been a ham radio operator since I was 11. I won't say when that was. I was a RACES storm spotter for years and years. I've got training certificates from National Weather Service, and certificates of appreciation from local governments.

I was also enlisted for years. Weather matters. It's always wrong. ;)

The video I pointed you to is a documentary supposing a Sandy type event, and how well NY was prepared.

Rather prophetic, in a way.
