I hope you got plenty of it because last Sunday my local Walmart and Academy were out of those, too (as well as everything else anybody would want to buy). I was shocked. Interesting note, Academy was out of 30-30 rounds. I thought that was curious. They had plenty of 243, 308, and 30/06.
Next to the AR pattern rifles, the most common centerfire rifles around are .30-30 lever-actions. I am surprised that there was .308 on the shelf; that's probably third in line behind .223 and 7.62x39 in terms of stockpiling.
