BROCKTON - A Plymouth Superior Court judge wasted no time rendering a decision yesterday morning against Joseph Nee, a former Marshfield High student accused of plotting a Columbine-style ambush on the school.

Joseph Nee was found guilty yesterday morning of conspiracy to commit murder and acquitted of two other charges.

The verdict

The 21-year-old sat silently about 11:30 a.m. as Judge Charles M. Grabau found him guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and acquitted him of two other charges.

It was the second time that morning the judge proclaimed Nee's guilt.

Much to the surprise of Nee's lawyers, Grabau started to issue his ruling close to 10 a.m., before closing arguments had been made. "The Commonwealth has proved this case beyond a reasonable doubt . . ., " he began.

Several people gasped. Some of Nee's family and friends began sobbing. Nee's father, Thomas, stormed out of the crowded courtroom, red-faced, muttering "This is due process?"

But when Nee's lawyer, Thomas Drechsler, stood up and pointed out that he had not made his closing argument yet, the judge stopped short of announcing his decision and directed the lawyer to begin his closing argument.

Now why is this little blast from the past important?

Well, FRiends and neighbors, according to This article by Tim Brown at Freedom Outpost,...one of the members of Biden’s task force has a son that has been convicted, not just charged, but convicted, of planning a mass murder at a high school in Massachusetts in 2004.

President of the National Assocation of Police Officers and Boston Police Officer Thomas Nee is the member in question. His son, Josephe Nee, was convicted in February 2008 for planning a Columbine-style ambush at Marshfield High School in 2004.

As always, the plot thickens...

Keep in mind this happened in 2008, the crime in 2004. In 2004 he would have been 17. The seminal part is that his dad is on Biden’s commission.

More at the link in my first comment, in fact, that is worth even more, and led me to the posted article.

According to the Freedom Outpost article, Nee was sentenced to six months in prison (Boston.com link is in the Freedom Outpost article).
