Kudzu root has some medicinal properties ... good for the digestion, used in hangover cures, etc.

I think the rug will be ready to bring in tomorrow. I cleaned the back of it today because it looked like it needed it, but I sure didn’t want to do it. Tomorrow will be worse, I’m sure. I will see what the pile looks like when I turn it over. There was already such a difference in the color and texture, just after the one shampoo.
Busdaddy is coming to eat, but his hours have changed. I would have gone over there, but I don’t know if I have enough gas to make it. And to help him out, Monday, I had fed him and given him my gas money, so he could get back and forth to work til today (payday.)
That suspension after his traffic incident really cost him, in more ways than one.

Kudzu extract may be helpful in reducing alcohol intake, according to a 2005 study. Using a real-life setting (an apartment with a television, reclining chair, and refrigerator stocked with beer), researchers performed an experiment involving heavy drinkers. They found that those who took kudzu capsules for seven days prior to the experiment drank an average of 1.8 beers in 90 minutes (compared to the average of 3.5 beers consumed by those who took a placebo prior to the study).
