And the current republican party is doing what as the majority party in the house?

Acting like democrats.

So what is the point?

We send what we think are solid conservatives and the “GOPe” corrupts them.

We could try to take over the party. But honestly, I think it is much easier to either join an existing party more inline with what we believe (not what the platform says. What they DO) or start a new one.

The republican party is infected with a cancer. That cancer spreads to all the new members we send.

In this country, we can bear arms. How many other countries can we do the same?

BULL SHYT!!!!!

They put themselves right where they are.

THEY supported the bill that made the cliff.

THEY allowed the tax cuts to have an expiration date.

THEY failed to field any decent candidates last election cycle.

THEY failed to support most of the conservatives running last cycle (Michelle Bachmann comes to mind)

THEY keep sending limp, spineless SOB’s back to leadership positions.

THEY continue to piss on not only the party platform and the Constitution but the very conservatives who sent them there!

THEY just passed an unconstitutional tax bill that started in the senate that THEY didn’t bother to read.

I did not leave the republican party. It left ME and the people I support behind years ago.

As good as they could MY A$$... They could have shut it down. NO ONE that pays taxes would have missed much of anything. The tit suckers, eff um. I don’t care.

Last year I damn near broke 6 figures.

This year, I’ll make sure my tax bill is as little as possible. I don’t need the extra money.

I am going galt.

/rant

Sounds to me like you listen to Mark Levin. Either that, or you’re following the same line of thought he is, anyway.

Levin has been saying that the answers do not lie in Washington DC. That no matter what we do or don’t do, it’s futile to look there for answers. Says he’s working on a plan of action at the state/local levels.

He wants Boehner challenged for Speaker. He wants someone to step up and challenge him even if they lose. Have to start somewhere. And the someone should be truly conservative, articulate and passionate

But when all is said and done, his bottom line is, don’t look to Washington. He’s not advocating a third party because he knows that only helps Democrats and again puts the focus where it can’t work...the level of federal elections.

Nor is he disowning every Republican in Congress...he says the LEADERSHIP level is hopeless.

For now. Obama is just warming up on that one.

Levin is a bit of an optimist. But even he said the answer is NOT in DC.

Next primary season we as conservatives have to get behind one candidate. Regardless of party that we agree with. We can’t have one Rino and 5 conservatives running.

But, the GOPe will make sure that just that happens. so the conservative vote gets split and the Rino wins.

The Republican Party is dead. The GOP-e has killed it. I am not drinking their lesser-of-two evils, Dem-lite Kool-Aid anymore.

When one party has ceased to represent you, it makes no sense to continue to register with that party name.

The Republican Party is already split. Republicans will never again win the presidency.

hmm ~ the idea here is that the Freeper believes that by changing his voter registration he can make a difference.

In Virginia we have totally non partisan voter registration so it makes no difference EVER, so how can changing from what he has to what we have make a difference?

Does not connect.

I think it'd be more meaningful to burn your shorts in the front yard, not that I'm criticizing him, but seriously ~

Behind all of that, though, is his argument that the Republicans at the top are not digging into what he thinks is widespread vote fraud.

Actually, Republican parties all over the country have been digging into that possibility for the last 12 years ~ and they've ferreted out millions of dead voters, and move outs.

Florida has been in the forefront of that battle ~ and as more and more voters are removed from the rolls, the Republican vote declines as a percent of the total vote.

I think THAT needs explained thoroughly by the voting registrars to the Republicans who run Florida!

The liberal media are responsible for making idiots out of many voters.
If large numbers of conservatives started to cancel Time Warner or Comcast cable TV packages, it would have an even greater effect on the establishments of both parties. I did that in 2007 because I was
already sick of everyone swooning over Obambi back then.

You had only 3 lifelong Conservative Republicans in the race, with 13 others with stains on their record of adherence to the Republican party.

We didn't have 5 lifelong Conservative Republicans out there to start with........

Republicans were in an impossible position. They got schooled but with the media holding Obama out as the wise mediator just trying to save the economy they were screwed. Vote against it and they’re raising taxes on their entire constituent. Vote for it and now we want a 3rd Party. This is exactly how Obama and the Dems planned it. Now they get the house in 2013 and raise taxes on us all........

THEY are us. If WE don't become truely active within the party, not just ranting on keyboards, preaching to the choir, the screwing will continue.

IMHO, the best chance is to take the republican party back to its' principles of limited, constitutional government. Join your county Republican committee, use the ideas below.

I have been a member of my county committee years ago when I had time, and plan to get on it again in a couple of years when I retire.

There are two very important weapons for this war. The left has been very adept at using them. Their use doesn't seem to be taught in schools or much of anywhere else, in fact most people aren't even aware of there existence.

Robert's Rules of Order and Mason's Rules.

Parliamentary procedure.

Mason's has nothing to do with the Masonic organization, it just happens to be the name of the author.

There may be other rule sets, but these are the ones I've used.

You can click below for info on Mason's rules. These are the rules most legislatures use. It is customized for each one.

Mason's Rules info

Roberts Rules can be found in paperback on Amazon or your local book store.

To start fighting the war, join your county Republican Committee.

Find out which set of rules it is run by.

Either find another like thinking small government, constitutional government thinker there, or recruit one.

With the proper use of parliamentary procedure, you can take over an amazing amount with just two people.

For instance, you word an amendment to sound good. You propose the amendment, you friend seconds it. You or he moves to move the amendment, the other seconds it. Done quickly you can get things voted on before your opposition even knows what happened.

So far I think the best way to get things done is dragging the Republican party back to the constitution and small government, then chip away at the mess the rats and rinos have created.

As long as Tea Party members and Freepers are sitting on the sidelines, not getting into the grass roots and getting on their county committees, and then next onto the state committes, we might as well just resign ourselves to life under communism.

“When one party has ceased to represent you, it makes no sense to continue to register with that party name.”

Fine, but what you will do will make no difference in the reality that we face. Demographics and ignorance has made all the difference.
