What Dallas needs is a quarterback that can put the team on his back, and win with a one dimensional passing game.

The two or three quarterbacks who can do that are spoken for.

So, they are left with Romo. Dallas didn’t lose because of Romo...Romo was just not able to drag the team over the line. Too much was asked of him.

He’s an above average quarterback...not great, but above average. And he is playing on a team that barely broke 100 yards rushing, and bizzarely did not change the game plan when faced with constant blitzes.

I know the danger of saying ‘he can’t win the big ones’. We used to say that about Marty Schottenheimer in Kansas City...but it turns out the team has been absolutely pitifully lousy without him. So be careful what you wish for, Dallas fans.

Don’t get rid of Romo, unless you have a replacement lined up, who is better than him.

The problem is that you need a great quarterback to win the Super Bowl unless you have impeccable defense kind of like Baltimore Ravens.

Romo is the A-Rod of quarterbacks, great stats, except for when it really counts.

I bet they would love Tim Tebow. Tebow needs to play for a red state team. He got screwed in NY becauase of his love for god. NY sportswriters hate that stuff.

“Too much was asked of him”

I don’t know if asking for less than three interceptions is too much. Had Romo accomplished as much as Christian Ponder, for example and for God’s sake, they might’ve won.

I agree. I can’t for the life of me understand why Rom gets the blame all the time. The Cowboys coaching staff made zero adjustments to the Redskins blitz. Evryone knew they were bringing the house on evry 3rd down. Was it Romo’s fault that Bryant went down with back spasms, or Austin being limited due to a sprained ankle. Last I checked Romo doesn’t play defense, and the Cowboys defense has been horrible with the loss of Ratliff, Carter, and Lee. No one is talking about Garrett’s inexcusable play calling. How in the hell do you not run the ball when you have one of the best RBs in the NFL? That last drive was exhibit 1 in crappy play calling. You have 3 time outs and the 2 min warning. You can run the damn ball! Garrett is the problem not Romo. Fire Garrett now!
