It's called Brett Favre Syndrome. Romo threw too many picks to expect to win.
As a Cowboy fan, last night was heartbreaking, but it's still amazing that they were only one game away from Division Champs.
This is a coaching problem, not a quarterback problem.
At least I can take solace in the fact that the Giants were knocked out of the playoffs too. Maybe this year we can actually have a GOOD team win the Super Bowl, instead of watching a mediocre team get lucky.
Tony Romo has been play for 10 seasons and has exactly as many post-season victories as Tim Tebow.
Sure. Get a new coach in there. That's the ticket.
Let it go. Romo will never win.
Superbowls in 2007 & 2011...pretty lucky!
BTW, when was the last millenium when the Cowgirls even won a playoff game?
“It’s called Brett Favre Syndrome”
Inaptly, as he won a Superbowl, got close in another one, and won several playoff games. Also, he gets blamed much for what was not his fault. For instance, the Vikings lost in 09 because of a twelve men on the field penalty and not stopping the Saints after losing the overtime coin toss, NOT because of his interception, which was all the idiot talking heads could remember.
I guess I’ll take “lucky” over losing. Usually the team that scores more points in a single game wins that game and style doesn’t count. Last time I checked, they won two of the last five super bowls against pretty stiff competition too, including the Cowboys.
I admit that if the Cowboys could execute, maybe the story would be different. The NFL playoffs have always been about getting hot at the right time and getting a few breaks and the ball has never rolled their way, thems the breaks. It’s the new reality in the cap era.
If thinking they were “lucky” helps you sleep at night, well stick to it. You need to start blaming the Cowboys for what the Cowboys can’t do because they could have been in the same place if it weren’t for a missed kick and an errant pass and a few turnovers.
I actually ran around my neighborhood placing Dallas stars on my neighbor’s cars (known redskins fans)but they lost to a gimpy QB and a depleted defensive line so...
It's a lack of talent problem. The defense sucks and the OL isn't much better. Football is still about blocking and tackling.
