I’ve been in Texas over 20 years and still miss the snow. Today is nice and cooool, about 47 degrees with a bit of wind. NICE! I’m ready to order some seeds, and ready to plant. I’ve found some styrofoam containters on the road. I’ve picked them up, washed them out, put holes in the bottoms, put holes in the tops then glued the tops to the bottom, for more insulation?, can’t waste the tops. So far I’ve found 4. I’ve begun getting my raised gardens ready for early, early spring planting. I’ve found some bulbs in one, that I’d forgetten..will put them next to the garden shed.

You are amazingly resourceful-I have saved many of the containers from plants that we have bought, and use them to start seeds. They don't really take up much space, and most are fairly high-quality plastic, but you've got me beat.

We have some daffodils coming up in a pot that I left on a table on the deck all summer and fall. I have them in a south facing window, and they look terrific, although they are yet to form flowers. We have months before we can start seeds. I have a bunch of years old leftover packets, and I'd like to give them a try. It may be interesting to see how well they do.
