I’m surprised he’s still alive in prison; child rapists are the lowest of the low in prison pecking order. I thought they would’ve beaten him to death a while ago. Oh well, even the prisons are getting soft, I guess.

He may be in solitary for his own protection. He needs to be released into the general prison population and the guards need to unofficially pass word around on when they will be looking the other way.

I think the deal is they are separating the creeps like this from the rest of the general population. Yes in theory he should have but the jail does not want a lawsuit from the families of these men so they are kept apart.

This does not mean we should not keep them in the full term. These men don’t stop. Make him stay in his cell with his other child molesting buddies.

Very true. Appears that your best protection is an information campaign with the prison population.

I am torn between believing that those who murder child molesters in prison are people who were abused and molested themselves, contributing to their own life of anti-social behavior, and therefore there is an element of "frontier justice."

On the other hand, I have seen criminal types who were not sexually abused target a group low on the pecking order, simply to release their own murderous compulsions -- they create fear of themselves for their own self-protection by projecting an image of power and invincibility through murdering an unequally-matched chickenhawk. (Used to live in a mob neighborhood.)

Since I believe most child molesters deserve, and should receive, capital punishment by the state, I don't think that murder in prison is American justice. Prison murder of "chomo's" achieves moral justice only halfway, until our courts start taking seriously the "soul murder" this crime creates in its victims.
