Ruger alone sold over 1,000,000,000 firearms just this year. How many people does uncle have at his disposal to confiscate all the guns present in the US?
Honestly, just one manufacturer — over a BILLION firearms? I had no idea!
OVER ONE BILLION? I'm a little skeptic on that figure.

Well we don’t know yet, it hasn’t come about, but I am sure if confiscation comes he will try the police departments first, the military second , and the UN third.
1,000,000,000

Exactly, there’s going to be a neighborhood watch that rewards snitches and religious Christian zealots. There are plenty of marginally employable ‘brownshirts’ already placed upon TSA, DHS and Justice Department lists developed to rally to the red banner. We know these animals by their street names, but soon they’ll all have badges.

Failure to turn in a weapon and thus becoming a felon passively by default is certainly something to be concerned about; however, you make a good point. The question is is our government prepared both in will and in resources to handle from a law enforcement standpoint millions upon millions of citizens becoming felons overnight or atleast in a short time?
Every gun you buy at a gun store now comes with a sales receipt and a background check telling the authorities who you are what you bought and what to look for when they come to grab those guns.
*********************************************************
I have been doing a little research on the subject. If I understand it correctly, that applies to Federally Licensed Gun Dealers-not private Gun dealers.
It also depends on state laws.
Unless things have changed, our state does not require:
permit
registration
licensing
permit to carry
For rifles and shotguns.
For handguns-same thing except, do need a permit for concealed carry.
You do have to be careful about intoxication. Strict laws about being intoxicated and having a gun. Also felons who buy guns are breaking the law.
If you decide to get a concealed carry permit, then you are on the radar, cause you have to pass a background check.
