When? In 2012? There was no mathematical way to beat Romney at that point. In the late 90s? The GOP in the House turned on him. He knew he'd become a distraction from the agenda and left just like the 'sainted' Sarah Palin quit her governorship.
No I was referring to when Gingrich was in charge.
He made a terrible mistake standing down back in the day. He did not recognize the GOP had become simply choreographed from outside the party.
And by so doing, he ended up reinforcing the liberals manipulations.
We need a new party, it is starting to appear. One driven, and focused. On among other things, AMERICAN JOBS.
I do not know for sure, but each day appears less likely that those on the right side will be in charge in the GOP.
At some point soon, we may need to choose a new way.
Wake up GOP. Soon.
No I mean when he was actually great.
I would have (enthusiastically) supported Gingrich back in the day.
He would have been a champion. But he allowed himself to be driven out, by people in his own party.
Never regained that prominence again.
I would welcome him in a new party if we form one though.
He is one of us.
