Mr. Meredith was shot by a coward (err, sniper). Other marchers, journalists, and photographers scrambled for cover, leaving Mr. Meredith to pull himself to cover.
By the way, did you know that Mr. Meredith once said that liberal whites were the 'greatest enemy' of American blacks?
And he was right. Too bad some folks here don't realize that Meredith is a strident Conservative.
