Guns-Guns-Guns: Start the counter attack - examples of Warner of VA and Machin of WV letters.
Letters to Senators. ^ | 12-18-2012 | Lowell1775 (vanity)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To Mark Warner, Senator from Virginia

Sir,

My family settled upcountry VA in 1748 refugees from Ulster and the Highlands where we were "debarred the use of arms" by the King after the rebellion of 1745. That and religion is why we came to the Old Dominion. As abolitionists, in 1860-1863 from Mason County, we lobbied and won new statehood as the free mountain state of WV. We are a stubborn people.

Don't bring shame on the birthplace of our nation, of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Mason, Henry and so many more by joining the howling lynch mob seeking to hang liberty.

Remember....

1.George Bush 1....panicked and said ban assault weapons and tore up his NRA card 1990.....voted out in 1992 in a humiliating landslide.

2.Bill Clinton....calculated he could ban assault weapons and did it in 1994......lost house and senate in 1994 AND was hounded almost out of office...his life was hell.

3.Al Gore....cast deciding vote in senate in 1999 to close gun show loophole the gunowners cultural home and rendezvous....he lost his home state of TN and the presidency in 2000 and is now a standing joke....but succeeds in the continued destruction of COAL

In life, we get to pick our friends and enemies.....THINK LONG AND HARD NOW about your stance....back up and support the Bill of Rights or pack your bags....you would have plenty of time to reconsider when you are voted out.

I have over 300 blood kin still in VA at last count and we stay in contact like all hill people, and 4,000,000 NRA brothers nationwide. We are all watching what you do.

Man up. Do it right. Not more already failed feel good crap. Put armed guards in schools so the kids have the same protection as elected and wage earning employees of government at at virtually every facility.

Thank you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TO Senator Joe Machin (D) of WV....a democrat who campaigned on a pro-2nd amendment platform. Here is the link to send him a message....

Subject: Think again on betraying 2nd Amendment. I have 300+ kin in WV.

Sir,

1.George Bush 1....panicked and said ban assault weapons and tore up his NRA card 1990.....voted out in 1992.

In life, we get to pick our friends and enemies.....THINK LONG AND HARD NOW about your stance....back up and support the Bill of Rights or pack your bags....you will have plenty of time to think when you are retired in 2016.

I have over 300 blood kin in WV at last count, and 4,000,000 NRA brothers nationwide. We are all watching what you do.

Man up. Do it right. Not more already failed feel good crap. Put armed guards in schools so the kids have the same protection as elected and wage earning employees of government at at virtually every facility.

Freepers,

Here are my e-mails to Warner of VA and Machin of WV along with the links to there comment pages…..as you know both campaigned on pro-2nd amendment platforms and are NRA A rated….and now are obvious weasels.

To these spineless apostates and others in the next few days....do what you can to remind them of history and that we live in a Republic, not a mobacracy.

Good news on the Manchin front. He got SAVAGED on the main statewide talk radio show last night by hosts that normally support him. This morning he was madly backtracking and saying he never said that he supported the Assault Weapons Ban, and meant to say he only supports toughing laws that would keep guns out of the hands of mentally disturbed blah...blah...blah... It remains to be seen if this is just for “hometown” consumption. But I think he may have realized that this isn't 1940 where a politician can be pro-gun at home and anti-gun in the senate and the voters will never find out...

As a native born West Virginian I don’t think Manchin will stand a chance of being re-elected. I still have many cousins that live there. A few, around Beckley, I had never heard utter the word “Republican” unless prefaced by the words “God damnned”. That changed after Clinton. Two things changed West Virginia’s presidential voting habits: Guns and coal.

The federal gun free school zone law needs to be amended to allow school staff CCW and others who have state CCW. I din’t like the idea of a federal CCW. Maybe it’s time for that, not to override state CCW laws but as a supplement to provide individuals with CCW the ability to defend themselves anywhere in the US including Washington.

E-mails are good, but paper letters are better. Hand-written paper letters are best. Our elected representatives count a hand-written letter worth hundreds or even thousands of e-mails, because the time required to prepare such a letter is a gauge of how motivated you really are to get his attention.

Letters-Yes indeed. Faxes and phone calls as well. Many conservative sites offer the ability to hammer the congress critters at leisure in one stop....

http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml
has mailing addresses and e-mails.

http://www.conservativeusa.org/links/complete-email-fax-list/?/mega-cong.htm
has faxes (efax is free for first 20 faxes a month) and phone numbers in excel and cvs files....

anybody got ant other world beating weapons for the digital battlefields of our rights?

I wonder what this clown’s definition of the “mentally disturbed” is? Maybe they support the Constitution, and limited government? Maybe they stockpile food and supplies against bad times (”hoarders”). Or maybe they believe in Christ and that homosexuality is a sin.
One has to wonder these days, when virtually everything that goes against Marxist Group-think is a “mental illness.”

This thread has just added to the FreeRepublic "bang list" (firearms interest list) by adding the keyword "banglist".

Any time a firearms-related thread is created on FreeRepublic, please be sure to add the "banglist" keyword to it so that interested FReepers don't miss it. Just a suggestion.

I've looked for news articles about woosy Manchin, but the media are self-censoring his latest cave which is no suprise.

You should post that bit of information about Manchin’s 180 or 360 on a few threads to spread the news around.
