In 2010, Florida voters approved two anti-gerrymandering amendments to the state constitution. West’s district, which was the most heavily gerrymandered in the state, was redrawn and was no long viable for a Republican to win. The new provisions of the state constitution virtually required this result. West therefore ran in 2012 in a nearby district.
If that is the case as you say, then explain the seat for Corrine Brown! I contend what we are seeing is the end of the charade that one side is more centered to one ideological philosophy than the other. They are simply two ends to a single means and we the serfs are the meat in the sandwich.
