Most loved: Alistair Sim Christmas Carol

Agreed. Many did a good job as Scrooge. Sim was truly great; 61 years later Scrooge is the best of the best.

Sim's version of Scrooge is the gold standard.

Other dis-honorable mentions: The Star Wars Christmas special.

I can "tolerate" the Mr. Magoo cartoon.

I hate the animatronic special with Buddy Hackett. Awful.

Many did a good job as Scrooge.

None better than Mr. Magoo ! I haven't seen that in years, but I always found it very touching.

I'll just add that I have a real weak spot for Ernest Saves Christmas, with a similar plot line to The Santa Clause, which I also like on the strength of Tim Allen's Santa transformation.
