Hubby and I escalate to heights of ridiculousness and start laughing at each other when we bicker.
We have never had a mean-hearted argument in our entire (coming up on) 40 years of knowing each other.
He is an exceedingly nice and gentle man, and I can take little to no credit for our happy relationship.
40 years, Congratulations to you both!
I know what you mean about gentle-person.
I swear on my life and The Holy Bible that in 12 years of marriage, my wife, except for maybe one time, has never called me any bad name. At least not out loud - LoL!
Except for maybe one time when ten years ago when we were in a car and *I think* she might have called me a jerk, because I said some music she liked was crap. But I was busy driving and it wasn’t till later that I wondered if she did in fact call me a jerk.
Periodically, to this day, we’ll be sitting quietly and I’ll look at her and think - “you called me a jerk, didn’t you?... Sure did sound like it... Wasn’t anyone else sitting in the car...”
I never asked her because because that would ruin it.
